About
Infliction is an indie adventure title developed and published by Caustic Reality that was released on October 17, 2018. This single-player experience takes place inside a home where tragedy has frozen the environment in time. Players must navigate this crystallized space to piece together a mystery involving a series of harrowing events. The core goal involves finding absolution while managing encounters with an entity that actively blocks progress. Survival depends on uncovering clues hidden within messages, artwork, and various objects left behind by former residents. You will use these items to unlock new paths and make discoveries throughout the residence. A malevolent presence inhabits the house and hunts you as you search for evidence. To avoid detection, you must hide and utilize light sources such as camera flashes to stun the spirit. These moments allow you to momentarily elude its pursuit and continue exploring. The main story takes approximately three hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to four hours. A completionist run requires about five hours of gameplay to finish all available content. The narrative focuses on uncovering heartbreaking secrets within the vestiges of domestic life. You must do everything possible to avoid the entity while searching for atonement.
