About
KAMI is an indie and casual puzzle title developed and published by State of Play, released on January 23, 2014. The game features a single-player experience where players fold out colored paper to fill the screen in as few moves as possible. This process is designed to be relaxing and easy to pick up, allowing users to quickly become focused on perfecting each puzzle. Created with real paper, the title presents an elegant Japanese theme that reflects the handcrafted aesthetic known from State of Play. The package includes 63 unique puzzles along with premium hints and tips included in the version. A calming and elegant soundtrack accompanies the gameplay throughout the session. The game received a nomination for the SXSW 2014 Gamer's Voice Award and was recognized as one of the best games of 2013. It also achieved the number one spot for iOS Puzzle Games in 12 countries on the Mac App Store. The main story length is approximately two hours, while completing all content takes around three hours. Players aiming to finish every aspect of the game can expect a completionist run time of four hours. The title was previously noted as the number one game in its category during its release period.
