Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes is an action RPG strategy title published by Blueside and Incredi Soft that was released on June 24, 2020. This single-player sequel to Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders brings the story back to the battlegrounds of Bersia with updated HD graphics for modern PCs. Players can revisit classic battlefields in widescreen resolution, including support for ultrawide displays. The experience is accompanied by a high-powered metal soundtrack that plays throughout the campaign. Commanders lead seven new playable characters, each with their own story-driven campaign across five complex missions and an endless range of random battles. You can fight as a half-vampire count, an ogre warlord, or a graceful dark elf while commanding new forces including powerful elemental creatures. The tactical map allows you to defend high ground, ride down into opponent ranks, and lay traps in forests using fire arrows. Weather conditions like wind and rain can change the course of a battle, adding dynamic elements to the conflict. The game supports both gamepad controllers and an all-new mouse and keyboard mode for optimal experience on modern systems. Players can build their perfect army by leading regiments of humans, elves, orcs, and other races across two different eras of the explorable campaign map. Troops can be looted, leveled, and evolved into new forms to master their skills during the main story which lasts approximately 20 hours. Additional content extends the playtime to about 21 hours when including extras beyond the main narrative. Combat magic serves as a powerful tool for both supportive and destructive purposes while artillery and airstrikes can be called in to pummel foes. Commanders assign allied forces with their own abilities and magic to support the main hero who cannot go alone against overwhelming odds. Elemental creatures such as Fire Wraiths, Ice Maidens, Thunder Rhinos, and Earth Golems allow players to command the elements directly.
