About
MageQuit is an indie action strategy title developed and published by Bowlcut Studios that launched on October 10, 2019. The game functions as a wizard brawler centered around spell drafting mechanics and beard envy. Up to ten mages can battle one another in online or local multiplayer sessions. Matches consist of nine rounds where beards grow longer with each kill. The winner is the wizard possessing the longest beard after the final round concludes. Players may engage in various modes including offline play with a group, solo quickplay against custom bots, or online matches with a premade party. The system supports anonymous skill-based matchmaking as well as custom matchmaking options for those who prefer it. Users can choose between free-for-all, team-based, or 1v1 formats for their battles. The experience accommodates both mouse and keyboard controls alongside full controller support. Crossplay functionality is available to connect different platforms. The roster includes access to seventy different spells for use during gameplay. A dynamic original soundtrack accompanies the action throughout the sessions. Additional features include spell curving mechanics to alter spell trajectories. Custom bots allow for offline practice or solo runs without needing other players present. The game offers a complete package of local and online connectivity options within its design.
