About
Midnight Castle Succubus DX is an action, RPG, and adventure title published by Critical Bliss. The game was developed by pixelteishoku and Libra Heart and released on September 18, 2020. It features a single-player experience set in a cursed city under the moonlight. A succubus issues threats against humanity once every 100 years while men die and young women disappear one by one. Players take on the role of a succubus hunter who visits this cursed location to rescue abducted girls. The objective is to defeat the succubus that threatens humanity with periodic attacks. The game includes 64 HCGs, with 25 newly drawn images included in the DX version. There are also 36 H pixel animations, of which 25 were newly drawn for this edition. Combat involves a variety of main weapons starting with the Leather Whip, which is a short-range option dealt by default. The Thorn Whip offers long range and twice the strength of the Leather Whip. The Chain Whip is twice as strong as the Thorn Whip, while the Flame Whip is twice as strong as the Chain Whip and effective against ice. The Ice Whip matches the strength of the Chain Whip but is effective against flame attacks. Further weapon options include the Magic Whip, which is twice as strong than the Flame Whip and throws a magic ball. Sub weapons such as the Scythe are available to go in a ballistic trajectory and penetrate through enemies. These tools allow the hunter to handle different enemy types effectively during gameplay.
