This single-player RPG, adventure, sci-fi, strategy, and simulation title places you in the role of a Mind Scanner within a dystopian metropolis called The Structure. You diagnose citizens by analyzing their views of the world while managing your time and resources to maintain balance in the city. The narrative begins after a meteor impact introduced Zygnoka, a power source that allowed survivors to build The Structure inside an impact crater over forty years. Society evolved into a machine dependent on technology, where order is maintained through severe top-down control and the immediate application of new inventions to the public. As a Mind Scanner, your profession involves maintaining the precarious anomaly levels of the city's inhabitants using specialized instruments. You operate arcade-style treatment devices to help other-worldly characters and must spend apok and science points to develop new tools for your work. The game presents difficult moral choices and ethical dilemmas that require you to take full responsibility for your patients' outcomes. You can choose to report the resistance group Moonrise or join them to support their cause, depending on your decisions. Your ultimate goal involves gaining the trust of The Structure if you wish to see your daughter again. Players can expect a main story length of four hours, with seven hours available when including extras and thirteen hours for a completionist playthrough.
