The core gameplay involves a two-player showdown of fast-paced fencing and melee attacks where IRL yelling and excitement may occur. Matches rely on a series of kills to grant right-of-way rather than being decided by a single kill. Advantages are often fleeting as new opponents continually spawn in your way during the match. Combat utilizes a variety of fencing maneuvers including lunges, parries, and dirty tricks like throwing your sword. When unarmed, players press forward with punches, sweep kicks, dive kicks, rolls, and wall jumps. The combat arena stretches in both directions, though besting an opponent only gains you ground toward the goal-zone. The main story length is approximately one hour while the main story plus extras extends to three hours. A completionist playthrough takes about six hours to finish. Each arena holds different strategic forms for players to utilize during their sessions.
