About
Bear and Breakfast is a management adventure game developed by Gummy Cat and published by Armor Games Studios, released on July 27, 2022. Players take on the role of Hank, a well-meaning bear who teams up with friends to convert an abandoned shack into a bed and breakfast for tourists. The experience functions as a simulation where you handle various aspects of running a business in a forest setting while exploring elements of role-playing and casual gameplay. You can manage your inn as a single-player experience using a controller if preferred. Your primary goal involves bringing guests into the woods to stay at your establishment and keeping them satisfied to maintain a good reputation. Earning money from happy customers allows you to attract new visitors, while completing quests and story lines provides access to new items and perks for your property. The game offers extensive customization options, letting you build dozens of guest rooms, bathrooms, parlors, and entertainment areas within your inn. Every room can be individually tailored with specific furniture choices and fixtures to suit your design vision. As the business grows, the mysteries of the forest expand alongside it, leading Hank to uncover a plot that goes deeper than the wilderness itself. You will encounter dozens of interesting characters throughout the story-rich world, some of whom offer advice or assistance if you take time to listen to their stories. Not every character is helpful, so you may need to search deep within the forest and your own resolve to find hidden mysteries. The main story takes approximately 18 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to about 23 hours. For those aiming for full completion, the game offers around 32 hours of content.

Bear and Breakfast's darker narrative themes don't complement its management sim elements but it still delivers a compellingly rhythmic gameplay loop.
