About
Blazing Beaks is an indie action shooter developed and published by Applava that released on October 5, 2021. The game features a colorful world where armed birds fight through piles of mutants, monsters, and creepy creatures. Players can explore levels filled with mysteries to unravel and secrets to discover in this roguelite experience. Too much greediness can be fatal within the gameplay loop that defines the title. The main story mode supports one or two local players as they fight invaders and search for the origin of evil. This adventure includes an endless onslaught of enemies to shoot, blast, zap, and disintegrate in every direction. The world is described as cute and charming while offering challenging levels full of surprises. You can play normal modes with procedurally generated levels where every single playthrough provides a unique experience. Alternatively, seeded modes allow you to set your seed and play the same levels repeatedly. Daily modes let you compete with other players in a newly generated run every day. Challenge modes are available for those who want to try beating various twisted challenges. The main story length is approximately 12 hours, while the main story plus extras extends to about 15 hours. Completionist playthroughs can take around 70 hours depending on how thoroughly you explore the content. Tournament mode offers an arena-based local multiplayer experience for two to four players where friendships are tested. In deathmatch, everyone plays out for themselves until only one beak remains standing. One gun mode starts each player with the same randomly chosen weapon that cannot be changed for that round. Drop hearts mode involves a player dropping hearts when hurt, which any other player can collect. Skull keeper mode requires grabbing and keeping the golden skull without losing it for a certain amount of time. Hunting mode gives each player a spear to throw and retrieve before throwing again. The game includes ten playable characters, each with unique abilities that make gameplay versatile. You can create your own character mods, share them, and play with custom characters created by the community. Controller support is included for all the most common gamepad types. Randomly generated levels and loot drops ensure hours of fun in every playthrough.
