Success requires resourcefulness and patience as you work within these experimental minimalist mechanics. The experience is built around horror based on building dread and paranoia rather than jump scares. An original soundtrack inspired by the work of Aubrey Hodges from Doom 64 sets the tone for the journey. The entire short experience is intended to be finished in under an hour, with a main story length of one hour. The setting takes place decades after every known star and habitable planet mysteriously vanished along with their inhabitants. Survivors on space stations and starships now search for remaining natural resources in an empty universe of asteroids and lifeless moons. A mysterious anomaly called the Blood Ocean was discovered on a barren moon, revealing potentially useful anomalous locations in a deep trench. Players investigate these sites in an aging submarine cobbled together from rusty space station parts while supplies gradually dwindle. The goal is to find your way to marked locations and photograph whatever you find there before the sub collapses or you are discovered. This short dread-driven game offers a complete experience that can be finished within two hours if including extras.
