About
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is an action space shooter published and developed by Asteroid Base, released on September 9, 2015. This indie title falls within the shooter, simulation, and sci-fi genres while offering both single-player and multi-player modes. Players can engage in co-op experiences ranging from one person to a full four-person couch session. The game allows users to control a massive neon battleship by managing turrets, lasers, shields, and thrusters together. The core gameplay requires two to four participants or one player alongside a loyal AI space-pet to man various battle stations. Team members must dash between weapons, engines, and defensive systems since all players fill important roles at every moment. Victory over the evil forces of Anti-Love depends on this teamwork to rescue kidnapped space-bunnies and avoid vacuumy demise. Randomized level layouts ensure that each session explores fresh areas within the colorful galaxy. Players can find and combine powerful space-gems to customize their ship's load-out with different abilities. These upgrades let users learn the right tools for every situation they encounter during play. While controlling a spacenaut is simple enough for anyone to jump in quickly, coordinating the group remains the tricky part. The experience offers six hours for the main story and eight hours when including extras. A completionist run extends the total playtime to thirteen hours as players face a galaxy of evil robots and constellations.
