Mini Metro is an Indie, Managerial, Building, Strategy, and Simulation game developed by Dinosaur Polo Club and published by Dinosaur Polo Club. It was released on November 5, 2015. The game features single-player gameplay. In Mini Metro, you design the subway layout for a growing city. You start with three stations and must draw routes between them to connect them with subway lines. Commuters travel along these lines to get around the city quickly. Each station can only hold a limited number of waiting commuters, so your network needs to be well-designed to avoid delays.
The city expands over time, with more stations opening and commuters appearing faster. This puts increasing demands on your network, requiring you to constantly redesign your lines for maximum efficiency. You earn new assets each week that can be very helpful if used wisely. Eventually, your network will fail as stations open too quickly and commuters overcrowd the platforms. The game offers three modes: Normal for quick scored games, Endless for stress-free sandbox play, and Extreme for the ultimate challenge. There is also a Creative mode where you can build your metro exactly how you want.
Mini Metro includes over two dozen real-world cities to design subways for, each with unique color themes, obstacles, and paces. The game features random city growth, meaning that strategies successful in one game may not work in the next. Each map is a work of art built in the classic abstract subway style of Harry Beck. If you like your creation, you can save it, tweet it, show it off, or use it as your desktop background. The game also has a responsive soundtrack created by Disasterpeace and includes colorblind and night modes.
