About
Mr. Prepper is a survival crafting game released on March 18, 2021, by PlayWay S.A. and Rejected Games. The title falls within the indie, action, RPG, adventure, simulation, and casual genres while offering a single-player experience. In this world, the player knows something is wrong as the risk of nuclear war looms in the air. You must get ready for what is coming by struggling for freedom against an authoritarian government. The core gameplay involves building an underground shelter to hide your plans and activities from the new regime. You will craft machines and facilities that keep you alive, including farms, greenhouses, tools, and vehicles. Trading with neighbors allows you to give them what they need while acquiring items useful to your own survival. Exploration lets you scavenge materials and items from atmospheric locations to support your construction efforts. You must make a plan because something radical needs to be done to break the status quo. Meeting other rebellious characters enables you to complete quests for them and help each other oppose the regime. The secretive and all-powerful Agency does not want you to be prepared, so you must outsmart the secret police who want you to stay controlled. The main story lasts 15 hours, while the main story plus extras extend playtime to 28 hours. A completionist approach requires 44 hours to finish all aspects of the game.
