No More Heroes is an action comedy developed by GRASSHOPPER MANUFACTURE INC. and published by XSEED Games, Marvelous USA, Inc., and Marvelous. The title was released on June 9, 2021 as a single-player experience. Players can expect classic slice-and-dice gameplay that has received an HD makeover for this edition. The narrative follows Travis Touchdown, who starts at rank #11 in the United Assassins Association with ten opponents standing between him and the top spot. His story begins after a night of drinking at a bar involving a woman he finds attractive. Travis wields a beam katana to eliminate smaller enemies while keeping his girlfriend safe during battles. Outside of combat, the game offers part-time jobs to purchase new merchandise and undergo training for upcoming ranking matches. Players can also ride their tricked-out motorbike through the coastal city of Santa Destroy. The vehicle is known as the Schpeltiger in this version of the game. Combat includes a unique system that is easy to learn but offers significant depth for mastery. Travis can utilize an arsenal of pro-wrestling moves ranging from Power Bombs to Brain Busters. Unlocking the Dark Side allows players to mow down competition more effectively. The main story takes approximately 11 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to 13 hours. A completionist run requires about 20 hours of gameplay. Rival professional killers with distinct personalities serve as opponents throughout the campaign.
