About
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is an action, indie, adventure, puzzle, and platformer title developed by Just Add Water Ltd. and published by Oddworld Inhabitants. The game was released on February 24, 2015, and features single-player gameplay. Players can explore new areas and secrets across various locations including RuptureFarms, Monsaic Lines, Scrabania, and Paramonia. The narrative follows Abe, who works as a floor waxer in Oddworld's largest meat processing plant before discovering his boss plans to convert the slave labor force into novelty meat snacks. Abe must escape the grinders at the flesh farm, but this initial success is only the beginning of his journey to discover his destiny. The story involves dodging carnivorous beasts and avoiding guards while exploring ancient ruins. This version of the classic adventure was built from scratch using next-generation technology to offer enhanced audio and improved gameplay mechanics. While old school controls remain familiar for purists, new analogue controls provide options for sneaky exploration and speed-running. The experience is designed as a lovingly recrafted take on the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
