About
Vambrace: Cold Soul is an indie fantasy adventure and RPG published by Headup and developed by Devespresso Games. Released on May 27, 2019, this single-player title takes place in a frozen landscape where players must plan expeditions before journeying to the cursed city surface with their party. The game features gothic fantasy elements as you wield unique powers while avoiding traps and braving strange encounters. Survival is not guaranteed as you face deadly combat within this narrative-driven roguelite experience. The story begins when the King of Shades curses the great city of Icenaire, causing a permanent blight of frost fall that raises former residents as mad Wraiths. Survivors retreat deep underground to lead a desperate campaign against this unearthly power while the King amasses an army of the undead above them. A mysterious stranger named Evelia Lyric appears in the city with an enchanted vambrace known as the Aetherbrace, making her the only human capable of entering Icenaire. The survivors look to you as their best hope against the King of Shades despite being woefully outmatched for the fight ahead. Players can expect a main story length of 8 hours when focusing on the primary narrative objectives. If you choose to include extras, the total playtime extends to 19 hours of content. For those aiming to complete every aspect of the game, the completionist length reaches 33 hours. These durations reflect the full scope of the adventure available within Vambrace: Cold Soul.
