About

Set in the year 2084, Observer: System Redux presents a future where the Nanophage digital plague and subsequent war have left society decimated. Corporations have seized power, creating crooked empires that view citizens as tools of oppression. Players assume the role of Daniel Lazarski, an elite investigator portrayed by Rutger Hauer who is feared and despised by the public. As an Observer, you hack into the darkest corners of suspects' minds to extract clues and evidence required for your investigations. Using a device known as the Dream Eater, you can enter the neural mazes of the dead and dying to relive their final moments. This ability allows you to explore the fears and obsessions of your subjects while searching for evidence that points to an elusive killer. However, venturing deeper into these twisted minds carries the risk of losing your own sanity. The game features a single-player experience where you creep into dreams to expose hidden truths. The world is ravaged by war and cyber-plague, offering virtual realities and mind-altering drugs as escapes from a grim existence. Veteran Observers can dive deeper into this dystopian reality through three new side cases titled Errant Signal, Her Fearful Symmetry, and It Runs in the Family. These additions explore thought-provoking themes regarding a future that might soon become our present. System Redux also includes expanded gameplay with new mechanics, redesigned stealth systems, and additional neural interrogations. Newcomers can experience the story in next-gen glory with 4K resolution, upgraded textures, and transformed lighting effects including Ray-Tracing and HDR. The main story takes approximately seven hours to complete, while the full experience with extras extends to nine hours. A completionist playthrough that includes all content requires about fifteen hours to finish. Quality-of-life improvements were made based on feedback from the Observer community.
