Osmos is an indie and casual title published and developed by Hemisphere Games, released on August 18, 2009. The game features single-player gameplay set in an ambient world defined by elegant physics-based mechanics and dreamlike visuals. Players interact with a minimalist electronic soundtrack throughout their experience. Your primary objective involves growing by absorbing other motes while propelling yourself by ejecting matter behind you. You must be careful because ejecting matter also causes your character to shrink. The game includes 47 levels plus bonus content that progress from serenely ambient stages into varied and more challenging worlds. You will confront attractors, repulsors, and intelligent motes that possess similar abilities and goals. The experience offers procedural content allowing you to play random versions of any level. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete, while the full experience with extras extends to eight hours. A completionist run requires about ten hours to finish all available content.
