About
This game is set in the ruins of the fallen Adal Empire. You begin the game with a mysterious mask that frees you from hunger, thirst, and even death. The Guides, the rulers of these lands, have placed you here to determine if you are worthy of becoming an Absolver. As you explore these forsaken lands, you will encounter other Prospects like yourself. You can learn new combat styles, acquire weapons, gear, and armor. You can also build a team of warriors with whom to fight side by side in Arenas of combat. The game features fluid real-time combat where you can position yourself in one of four tactical stances during battles. You can execute devastating attacks, dodges, and parries. Movement becomes your weapon as you engage in solo duels or intense three-on-three melees. Players will define their character’s playstyle by picking a combat style, a weapon of choice, and arranging attacks in their Combat Deck to design their unique and personal attack flow. The game features online multiplayer action and narrative where Prospects and Absolvers will seamlessly encounter others in the world. These moments are filled with tension as intentions to battle or befriend are never clear: trust is always a leap of faith. Encounters will have lasting consequences and transform into meaningful relationships as you make friends or enemies and find mentors or disciples. There is also an offline single-player experience available. This adventure takes you from Prospect to Absolver in an exciting campaign, available both online and offline. The single-player mode pits you, and you alone, against lost Prospects and legendary warriors in the ruins of the Adal empire - complete with all content, free of interactions and encounters with other players. The game includes PvP and PvE. Explore a rich and dynamic world including dedicated PvP battle arenas where champions will receive spoils of victory and progress in the ranks of the Absolvers, and PvE areas in which players cooperatively battle to retrieve rare loot and equipment from the ruins of Adal. The development team at Sloclap is dedicated to improving and expanding Absolver based on community feedback once the game is live. In the coming weeks and months, Prospects can expect regular updates to the game to fix any issues that appear, as well as both minor and major content updates. These updates already include 3v3 Game Mode and a Spectator Mode soon after launch, but many more updates can be expected, from new combat styles and moves to new powers and equipment. Please note: Absolver features public crossplay matches which you can play with your friends regardless where the game was purchased (PC only). Multiplayer Notice: Please note that GOG GALAXY is required to access Multiplayer. Some fighting techniques and boss fight rematches must be one-time unlocked in online mode. Once unlocked, they carry over to the single player game. The main story takes approximately 5 hours to complete. The main story plus extras will take around 7 hours. A completion

Absolver Critic Reviews and Review Scores

Absolver is a beautiful martial-arts fighting game that allows for an impressive degree of personalized play with its innovative combat deck system, which lets you learn skills from combat with other players and NPCs. Unfortunately, it only comes with a single PvP arena mode at launch, and its fascinatingly nebulous campaign breaks off early and abruptly. It feels like an early access game with a ton of potential, but it's not quite there yet.

A one-of-a-kind blend of blood-thumping martial arts, combo curation and grindy multiplayer set in a ravishing wasteland.

A great customizable fighting system and a cooperative spirit fill the empty spaces in a bleak open world.

A short and barren single-player adventure that's really only for players who want to dig into the multiplayer components

Absolver's methodical combat would be superlative on its own, but the unique customisation of its Combat Deck takes this melee brawler to thrilling new heights.
