About
Bloodshed is an action, indie, and adventure title developed by com8com1 Software and published by Headup. The game was released on December 12, 2024. It combines Roguelite mechanics with retro-styled visuals and first-person combat similar to Survivors-like games. Players face endless waves of undead foes while collecting experience points to upgrade skills and weapons. The narrative involves confronting the Cult, a group seeking to resurrect an ancient deity to cause an apocalypse. You must battle cultists, undead, demons, and other creatures of the night to stop their sinister plans. Each enemy presents a unique challenge that requires specific strategies to overcome quickly. The game features a diverse roster of playable characters, each with distinct abilities and playstyles. Combat allows for swappable shooting modes, letting players choose between auto-shooting or manual aiming. You can experiment with various builds using a vast selection of weapons and skills to find the ideal strategy. Dynamic enemy hordes include adaptable foes with unique abilities and attack patterns, including elite enemies that offer more loot. The experience takes place across a variety of biomes in fast-paced battles. Progression continues even after death through a persistent upgrades system where hard-earned money is kept between runs. This currency can be exchanged for permanent improvements and unlockable content to deepen the gameplay. Completing optional objectives unlocks new skills and game features as you advance further into the Cult's world. The game includes controller support for single-player sessions.
