About

Deceit 2 is a social deduction horror game developed and published by World Makers that was released on September 14, 2023. The title falls within the action genre and supports multi-player gameplay sessions. Players can join together with friends or connect online through matchmaking to participate in the experience. The core objective involves escaping the Ritual while managing a hidden threat among the group. Two participants have been corrupted by evil and act as Infected agents serving the Game Master. These Infected players work to empower the Ritual and sacrifice the remaining Innocent players to the Benefactors. The Innocent side must rely on unity to identify allies and separate them from foes. Accusations are a key mechanic, as initiating the Banishing Ritual requires the group to suspect an Infected member. A single wrong accusation can increase mistrust within the ranks of the player base. Players may also interact with the Peddler to trade souls for tools that aid their quest. The setting includes haunting elements referred to as the In-Bet.
