Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game where you play as an ever-growing hole in the ground. You meet cute characters, steal their trash, and throw it into the hole. The game features single-player gameplay and controller support. The game was developed by Ben Esposito and published by Annapurna Interactive. It was released on August 27, 2018. Donut County is categorized as an indie, comedy, adventure, puzzle, and casual game. Raccoons have taken over Donut County with remote-controlled trash-stealing holes. You play as BK, a hole-driving raccoon who swallows up his friends and their homes to earn idiotic prizes. When BK falls into one of his own holes, he’s confronted by his best friend Mira and the residents of Donut County, who are all stuck 999 feet underground… and they demand answers! You can explore every character’s home, each with its own unique environment. You can move the hole to swallow up their stuff, growing bigger each time. You can also combine objects inside for crazy effects: cook soup, breed bunnies, and more. The main story of Donut County takes approximately 2 hours to complete. If you include extras, it will take around 2 hours. A completionist playthrough will take about 3 hours.

It may be a very short diversion, but Donut County is a delight. It's absolutely brimming with personality, has a killer soundtrack and visual aesthetic, and is based on an irresistible gameplay hook. I'd have loved more, but I guess I'll just settle for playing through it again.
