Forspoken is an action, fantasy, RPG, and adventure title published and developed by Square Enix that was released on January 24, 2023. The game features a single-player experience where Frey Holland travels from New York City to the land of Athia. She arrives with a magical bracelet around her arm that grants her spellcasting abilities for movement and combat. Frey searches for a way home while battling monstrous creatures across sprawling landscapes in this fantasy setting. Her golden companion, nicknamed Cuff, assists her as she navigates the world affected by a blight known as The Break. This corruption transformed animals into beasts, humans into monsters, and changed rich areas into four dangerous realms. The narrative involves maddened former benevolent rulers called Tantas who now act as evil sorceresses at the center of their shattered domains. Players can expect to spend approximately 14 hours completing the main story or around 25 hours if they include extras.
