About

Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition is developed by Radiation Blue and published by Team17 Digital LTD. The game was released on February 24, 2020, and falls within the Action, Indie, First Person, Adventure, RPG, and Simulation genres. This title supports single-player gameplay and includes controller support for navigation. The Deluxe Edition package contains an artbook, a soundtrack, and the Rocket Star Corporation DLC. The narrative is set in a near future ravaged by wars, corrupt regimes, and devastating pollution where corporations created the Genesis program to save humanity. Players assume the role of a Captain leading a Genesis starship on a mission into uncharted space. Gameplay involves building and managing a space vessel while farming resources across a vast, randomly generated universe. The randomised galaxies ensure that every run is unique, allowing players to choose from three difficulties or use the Custom Game Mode to tailor the experience. Players must discover new planets, circumvent asteroid fields, and survive encounters with Mechanics and Framen, who are space pirates that board ships to destroy them and their inhabitants. Ship management requires combining dozens of upgradable modules such as crew quarters, workshops, hangars, clone labs, and greenhouses. An intuitive building menu lets users snap together pieces to customize the vessel before exploring it in first person. Resources like Copper, Uranium, and plants must be gathered to sustain life aboard the ship while searching for alien artefacts and intel left by previous explorers. Alien infestations can spread quickly, contaminating the ship and crew, so players must research weapons and defences to fight the threat. The arsenal includes powerful weaponry, abilities to heal crew members from alien diseases, and warbots to devastate hordes. As the ship grows, players use cloning technology to expand the crew to meet the vessel's needs. Looted DNA samples from encountered aliens can be spliced with crew members to create new lifeforms with advanced abilities. Once all clones are dead during a run, the mission ends and death is final for that playthrough. However, artefacts unearthed carry through to the next attempt, while new corporations unlock to make the player more powerful in subsequent runs.
