About
Ghost of a Tale is an action-RPG developed and published by SeithCG, released on March 13, 2018. The game falls within the indie, fantasy, adventure, and RPG genres while offering a single-player experience. Players assume the role of Tilo, a mouse minstrel who becomes involved in a dangerous journey through a medieval world inhabited solely by animals. This setting encourages exploration and immersion as you navigate environments filled with various creatures. Combat relies on stealth and agility rather than brute strength since Tilo faces enemies significantly larger than himself. You can utilize disguises to move undetected and engage in conversations with both allies and opponents throughout the adventure. The narrative focuses on uncovering the secrets of Dwindling Heights Keep while searching for Merra, your true love. Completing the main story takes approximately eleven hours, though adding extras extends playtime to fifteen hours. A completionist run requires about twenty hours to finish all available content. The project was created by a small team led by Lionel Gallat, who handled ninety percent of the art, design, and coding duties. Paul Gardner served as the writer and brought experience from previous game design roles to the project. Additional technical work on coding and tool development was performed by Cyrille Paulhiac. Jeremiah Pena composed the music while Nicolas Titeux managed the sound design for the title.

Weather its bugs and lacklustre stealth, and Ghost of a Tale is a quietly ravishing potted epic with a serious subtext.
