About
Golfing Over It with Alva Majo is an indie action title published and developed by Majorariatto that released on March 28, 2018. This single-player experience offers a different approach to climbing a surreal mountain using a golf ball as the primary tool. The game serves as a follow-up concept to the 2017 hit Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, which has played this title and granted its blessing. Players face the specific challenge of ascending an unyielding mountain while dealing with controls that can easily become infuriating. The short description notes that the higher you climb, the bigger the fall becomes as you progress through the game. You will listen to Alva explain his reasons for creating such a cruel experience while attempting to golf your way to the summit. If you manage to reach the top, the narrative questions whether that achievement makes you feel good or if it was all worth the effort. The main story takes approximately three hours to complete, with total playtime extending to four hours when including extras. A completionist run of the game also requires about four hours to finish.
