About
Gori: Cuddly Carnage is an action, indie, adventure, and platformer game published by Wired Productions and CouchPlay Interactive for the Greater China region. Developed by Angry Demon Studio, the title was released on August 29, 2024, as a single-player experience. Players can slice creepy toys and dice mutated unicorns while riding a murder-kitty on a death-dealing hoverboard. The game features fast-paced, third-person skate-and-slash combat set in a futuristic world tainted by the Adorable Army. The story follows Gori, a sentient razor-sharp hoverboard named F.R.A.N.K., and a modular AI companion called CH1-P who constantly complains during gameplay. These characters are unwillingly dragged into a battle that wiped out all humans and destroyed everything on earth that was not cute enough for the Adorable Army. The Adorable Army consists of mutated, blood-thirsty toys led by dark figures that only the player can destroy. Gori serves as the star of the show, described as the most adorable and badass cat in the world. The gameplay involves wiping out hordes of cuddly and horrible toys using gory, gruesome hoverboard combat mechanics. Players will encounter a world filled with extreme toys, adorable corruption, heaps of blood, dismemberment, glitter, fur, and cuteness. The narrative centers on stopping the carnage of the Adorable Army to save their own lives and rescue Professor Y, the missing creator who showed Gori and his friends love. Combat allows players to master explosive weaponry and devastating combos in an epic battle to prevent the army from conquering the galaxy. The environments are described as very cute while featuring intense destruction and a whole world to smash to bits. An adaptable music system reacts to player actions and playstyle throughout the experience. The game contains foul language, excessive gore, and other adult content for players to enjoy. This entry represents the toy industry's last hope to not die against the twisted Ultra Pets created by Cool-Toyz Inc.
