About
Kynseed is an indie, managerial, RPG, adventure, and simulation title published by PixelCount Studios in December 2022. This single-player game comes from the same developers who worked on the Fable series. Players receive a mystical acorn that grows into a family tree where their choices determine the branches. The experience involves raising a family, farming land, running shops, and exploring a world where inhabitants age around you. When a character dies, the player steps into the shoes of their children to continue the legacy. The game takes place in the land of Quill, a quirky world where everyone ages and dies, including pets. You can run businesses such as a blacksmith, apothecary, or goods store while gathering materials to create items, forge weapons, or mix cures for bizarre maladies. Adventuring in dangerous regions allows you to battle dark faery tale creatures. Relationships with NPCs develop based on your deeds, actions, and pranks, as they remember what you do. You can find proverbs to unlock the secrets of this mysterious world and buy strange artifacts from Mr Fairweather. These items may aid chores, help in combat, or allow you to mess with the world, though each purchase requires paying a life tax in years. The main story lasts approximately 10 hours, while the total playtime including extras reaches about 86 hours. Completionist length is not listed for this title. The setting includes dark faery tale elements and situations that are not always sunshine and roses.
