The game features Josef the robot who must save his girlfriend Berta from the Black Cap Brotherhood gang. Josef has been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city and needs to return to confront the gang and rescue Berta. The world of Machinarium is populated by robots of various forms and functions. One of the most interesting places in this world is the old, rusty, and legendary city of Machinarium where the game takes place.
Players will need to solve many logical puzzles, adventure quests, and brain teasers to progress through the story. The main story can be completed in approximately 5 hours. If players choose to explore all content, including extras, it will take around 5 hours. A completionist playthrough, which involves finishing everything in the game, will take about 6 hours.
