About
Merchant of the Skies is a title published and developed by Coldwild Games that released on April 17, 2020. The game functions as an indie strategy simulation with managerial and RPG elements set in an adventure context. Players control an airship captain who begins with a small cloudship and works toward establishing a larger trade company. The experience includes single-player gameplay with controller support for managing your operations. You can find the best trade routes to profit from them while traveling between flying isles and facing different encounters. The sandbox approach allows you to proceed at your own pace, helping characters in the main story or focusing solely on building your company. In addition to trading, you gain experience to become more savvy about goods production and eventually start your own manufacturing. You can establish trade routes to transport and sell goods without needing direct involvement for every transaction. Once wealthy enough, you can build a mansion using more than 200 different building blocks. The main story campaign lasts approximately nine hours where you help various characters restore the world to its former glory. Adding extras extends the main experience to about eleven hours of playtime. For those aiming to complete everything, the full completionist run takes around fifteen hours.
