About
METAL GEAR SURVIVE is an action, adventure, and strategy title published and developed by KONAMI that was released on February 21, 2018. This spin-off takes place in a strange alternative universe separate from the main METAL GEAR SOLID V story. Players build upon the enduring stealth action gameplay found in previous entries while introducing new elements of exploration and survival. An internet connection is required to play the game. In single-player mode, you create your own character and learn to survive by scavenging resources and crafting weapons. You can also build a base camp and explore the unknown environment while developing necessary survival skills. The main story length is approximately 22 hours, which extends to 31 hours if extras are included. A completionist playthrough requires about 47 hours. The game features co-op mode where a team of four players assembles to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. In this mode, you place fortifications and defensive weapons strategically to gain an advantage against intensifying enemies. Team work and resourcefulness are key in these fast-paced missions.
