About
Meteorfall: Krumit's Tale serves as the second entry in the Meteorfall universe and functions as a deckbuilding roguelike developed by Slothwerks for indieova. Published on July 22, 2020, this single-player title allows players to use cards to clear dungeons before upgrading their collection with new items and perks. The gameplay expands upon the mechanics found in Meteorfall: Journeys by introducing a dynamic grid-based system that adds depth to the experience. Players will encounter foes such as sozzled bearbearians and nuke-addled snotwolves while working to protect the world from the Uberlich. The core loop involves shuffling your hero's deck into the dungeon deck at the start of each level, where cards are dealt out in a 3x3 grid for you to manage carefully. Defeating monsters yields gold that can be spent to acquire additional abilities and items to complement your strategy. The main story requires approximately ten hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to sixteen hours. For those aiming to finish all content, the completionist length reaches thirty-five hours. This structure offers longevity through strategic choices regarding perks and board management within the roguelike framework.
