Moon Hunters is an indie action RPG developed and published by Kitfox Games that released on March 9, 2016. This fantasy adventure supports single-player or co-op modes for up to four players. The game functions as a personality test where choices define your path in an ancient, occult world. Players can explore a mystical Mesopotamian-inspired setting where the levels and map change every time they play. The main story takes about two hours to complete, while including extras extends that time to seven hours. A completionist run requires approximately twenty-four hours of gameplay. The Steam version includes the free expansion Eternal Echoes, which adds a snowy tribe and a seventh character class. This update also introduces a new constellation meta-game system with a final boss and endless arena mode. When the moon does not rise over Issaria, monsters infest the land and cause chaos that players must resolve. You have five days before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists declare war on the region. Multiple playthroughs allow you to uncover new characters, conflicts, and decisions within the game. Each of the five tribes responds differently to the crisis and seeks different qualities in its heroes. The experience lets you shape your reputation through various actions and choices made during the campaign.
