About
Outcast - A New Beginning is an action, adventure, and open world title published by THQ Nordic GmbH and developed by Appeal Studios. The game was released on March 14, 2024, and features a single-player experience set in the alien world of Adelpha. Cutter Slade, an ex-Navy SEAL known for his dry wit, returns to this spectacular setting twenty years after the original hit. Resurrected by the almighty Yods, he finds the Talans enslaved while the planet's natural resources have been stripped away. His past intertwines with invading robot forces as he takes on a mission to save the world again. Players control Cutter Slade in a non-linear open world where they can approach the story at their own pace. Movement is facilitated by a jetpack that allows jumping, air-dashing, gliding, and quick traversal across the fantastic environment. The game includes dozens of different modules that players combine to create personal weapons for taking down robot invaders. Exploration offers access to hidden temples and dangerous wildlife without boundaries within the hand-crafted world. The experience introduces the Talan people, an ancient culture whose fate is linked to Earth since the events of the first game. Helping these villagers free their villages grants access to ancient Talan powers that utilize forces of nature to destroy enemies. The world is filled with dangerous creatures and features a soundtrack composed by Lennie Moore, the original composer for Outcast.
