About
Rez Infinite, published by Enhance and developed by Monstars Inc. and Resonair, brings this indie action title to PC on August 9, 2017. The game falls into the casual genre and offers a single-player experience where players blast through waves of enemies and giant transforming bosses. This release allows users to save a world that is on the verge of collapse while navigating cyberspace. The visual and audio design syncs colors and sounds to the beat of Rez's legendary techno soundtrack, creating a synesthesia effect across 360 degrees. Players can choose between standard desktop mode or a full immersion experience using virtual reality hardware. The package includes fully remastered classic levels covering Areas 1 through 5 plus an all-new free-flying section in Area X. Visual quality is unrestricted with resolution capabilities up to double the texture resolution of any previous version, ensuring razor-sharp graphics. Enhanced soundscapes provide full 3D audio for the incredible music throughout the experience. The main story takes approximately two hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to three hours. A completionist run requires about twenty-two hours to finish all content.

Like having a drunken conversation with a friend who really loves music, but it's a videogame and good.

Even if you don’t have a PSVR, Rez Infinite is still the most complete version of an imaginative cult classic with deceptively nuanced gameplay, but if you do, it’s also an impressive glimpse into the transportive power of virtual reality.

Despite it's short campaign--you can complete everything in a little more than an hour, if you're skilled--Rez Infinite is the game to buy a PSVR for. It's hypnotic and enveloping. And it's transformative, both within itself and in the wider scheme of the experiences made possible by VR. You don't want to sleep on Rez Infinite, because with the addition of more polished visual flair and the dreamy Area X, we have a new classic for the new generation on our hands.
