About
Rise of Insanity is an indie adventure and simulation title developed and published by Red Limb Studio. The game was released on March 1, 2018, and offers single-player gameplay with support for virtual reality. Players assume the role of Dr. Stephen Dowell, a renowned psychologist in America during the 1970s who faces a difficult patient displaying contradictory symptoms of various mental disorders. This first-person psychological horror experience draws inspiration from classic films such as The Shining, The Exorcist, and Silent Hill. The narrative centers on uncovering the truth behind a tragedy that has affected the doctor's family while he treats a new patient with experimental methods. You must step into Dr. Dowell's shoes to investigate mysterious events surrounding his own life and determine who is responsible for what happened to his wife and child. The main story takes approximately two hours to complete, with the same duration required for the main plot plus extras. A completionist playthrough extends the experience to three hours total.
