About
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a role-playing game published and developed by Square Enix alongside xeen Inc. The title was released on October 24, 2024, offering players a single-player experience set in the Empire of Varennes. This full remake revisits the original non-linear RPG that first launched in Japan in 1993 while incorporating new and classic franchise features. The narrative follows the Seven Heroes, who were once saviors before being banished to another dimension due to fears surrounding their power. Thousands of years have passed since their departure, turning them into legends as players fight against forces that seek to expand across multiple generations. The story includes Japanese and English voiceovers along with original and rearranged musical compositions to enhance the adventure. This version serves as an accessible entry point for new players while providing an enhanced experience for those familiar with the series. Players can defend their legacy within a vast array of story experiences that unfold over an epic timeline spanning thousands of years. The game allows users to rule and expand the empire through various non-linear paths without relying on unlisted mechanics or durations.
