About
SEGA's most requested re-release of all time finally arrives on a new generation with Shenmue I & II. This open world action adventure combines jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing, RPG elements, and memorable mini-games. Originally released for the Dreamcast in 2000 and 2001, the title was developed by D3T and published by SEGA. It launched on August 21, 2018, offering a single-player experience that defines modern gaming. The game pioneered many aspects of modern gaming, including open world city exploration and the Quick Time Event. It stands as one of the first titles with a persistent open world where day cycles to night and weather changes. Shops open and close while NPCs go about their business on their own schedules within this living world. The engrossing epic story and detailed environment created a generation of passionate fans for the franchise. The main story runs for approximately 35 hours, while the main story plus extras extends to 43 hours. Players seeking to complete every aspect of the game can expect a completionist length of 48 hours. The saga begins with a tale of revenge as teenage jujitsu artist Ryo Hazuki returns to his father's dojo in 1986. This release delivers an epic story within a unique open world that is still unrivalled in depth and detail.
