This game supports single-player, multiplayer, and co-op modes for various gameplay experiences. The collection features a cast of beloved Disney characters set against the backdrop of a golden era in gaming history. Players can hunt for treasure around the globe as Scrooge McDuck or fight crime as Darkwing Duck within the adventure. Baloo the bear serves as an ace pilot who takes to the skies, while Chip and Dale offer co-op opportunities to take down Fat Cat. All six classic games in the collection have received new and improved visuals with filtering options that replicate a retro look and feel. New ways to play include Boss Rush and Time Attack modes which encourage time-based gameplay and feature online leaderboards. The main story length is approximately six hours, while the main story plus extras extends to seven hours. A completionist playthrough requires about ten hours to finish all available content.

With three hits and three duds from Capcom/Disney years that you might remember with varying levels of fondness, the Disney Afternoon Collection is clearly aimed at children of the 90s. I have trouble seeing its appeal to anyone else. But if vintage duck-based platformers are your thing, grab a Capri Sun and a handful of Gushers and invite your friends over to play.

Six retro games to remind you that games from the good old days were difficult, but relentlessly charming.
