About
The Dwarves is a fantasy role-playing game developed by KING Art and published by THQ Nordic GmbH, released on November 30, 2016. This title belongs to the RPG and Combat genres and focuses on single-player gameplay. The narrative revolves around the coolest fantasy race ever, drawing from the bestselling novel by Markus Heitz. Players will experience a fascinating tale centered on dwarves as they face various challenges in a vast world. Combat involves tactical real-time battles where a handful of heroes must fight hundreds of foes. Fifteen playable heroes are available to be deployed cleverly, each possessing individual skills for strategic use. Opponents include orcs, ogres, älf s, bögnilim, zombies, dark mages, and many other creatures on the battlefield. The game features crowd combat where all creatures are rendered with physical complexity to create dynamic battles. Players can pause anytime during these encounters to tactically plan the next smart move. The main story takes approximately eight hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to ten hours. A completionist run requires about fifteen hours of gameplay. The experience allows players to give the low-down on superior numbers of enemies in a tactical setting.

The Dwarves boasts a strong story that's taken from a bestselling novel, and it generally honors that lineage with a cast of likable and ably voiced characters. It's a good foundation, but unfortunately it's not strong enough to make up for the deficiencies of its gameplay, which include unfulfilling RPG elements and a stubborn camera.
