About
The Legend of Tianding is a sidescrolling action game developed by Creative Games Computer Graphics Corporation and Neon Doctrine, published by Neon Doctrine. Released on November 1, 2021, this title falls within the Fighting, Action, Adventure, RPG, and Platformer genres. Players engage in single-player gameplay as Liao Tianding, also known as Liāu Thiam-Ting, a vigilante operating in Taipei city. The narrative is set against the backdrop of Colonial Japanese Taiwan during the early 20th century, drawing from real events, people, and situations. In this role-playing experience, you act as a wanted outlaw who robs the wealthy to feed the poor while fighting for justice. The visual style presents the story in the manner of Traditional Chinese Manga, focusing on a time and place often overlooked in history. Combat utilizes a tanto, waist sash, and fast-paced Kung Fu within tightly tuned technical systems. You can execute advanced aerial combos and steal weapons from enemies to enhance your capabilities. Movement options include using your waist sash and grappling hook to fly around the battlefield. The main story takes approximately five hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to eight hours. A completionist run requires about eleven hours of gameplay to finish all content. You will face incredible bosses such as deadly courtesans during these encounters. The game allows you to strike fear into the hearts of your oppressors through varied combat techniques.
