About
The Medium is a third-person psychological horror title developed and published by Bloober Team SA, released on January 27, 2021. This single-player adventure falls within the horror, action, and adventure genres while offering a story-focused experience. Players can explore both the real world and the spirit world simultaneously using patented dual-reality gameplay mechanics. The game features an original soundtrack co-composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka to accompany the narrative journey. Users will wield unique psychic abilities reserved for those with the gift, including the Out of Body experience to investigate restricted areas. These powers allow players to create energy shields and deliver powerful spirit blasts to survive encounters with The Maw. The main story length is approximately eight hours, extending to nine hours when including extras. A completionist playthrough requires about ten hours to finish all content. Discovering a dark mystery only a medium can solve involves solving puzzles that span both realities.
