About
Timespinner is an action, indie, adventure, RPG, and platformer title published and developed by Lunar Ray Games. The game was released on September 24, 2018. Players can experience both single-player and co-op modes within this title. The narrative follows Lunais, a timekeeper whose family was killed before the ancient Timespinner device was destroyed. She finds herself stranded in an unknown world after being transported there by the destruction of her home. Her primary goal is to seek revenge against the evil Lachiem Empire that caused these tragedies. However, the course of history may not turn out as black and white as initially expected. Using her ability to control time, Lunais explores a vast, connected world that links the barren present with the luscious past of Lachiem. The environments are rendered in beautifully drawn and detailed pixel art. Players collect elemental magic orbs to combine their power for destroying enemies with blades and spells. Mysterious creatures known as Familiars can be befriended and trained to assist in battle, including the dream dragon Meyef. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete. Adding extras extends the playtime to around nine hours. A completionist run requires about twelve hours of gameplay.

The pixel-art is faultless and the gameplay is pleasingly reminiscent of the classics, but Timespinner doesn't offer much that feels new.

Though the map is too constrained at first, Timespinner's characters, traversal, and avenues for exploration make it worth checking out
