Titan Attacks is an action, indie, and casual game published and developed by Puppygames. Released on February 3, 2012, the title offers single-player gameplay where players act as the last surviving tank commander on Earth. The objective involves turning back an evil invading alien army and driving Titans across the Solar System to defeat them on their homeworld. The game features easy-to-learn mechanics typical of a classic arcade shoot 'em up but includes new features and strategies. Players can battle swarms of alien fighters, bombers, and giant boss motherships across over five unique worlds. The experience consists of 100 levels of frantic action with stylish neo-retro visuals. Earning bounty money allows players to upgrade their ship with extra cannons, rockets, and lasers. During gameplay, you must destroy falling wrecks, dodge hurtling asteroids, and choose whether to capture escaping aliens or blast them from the skies. The main story takes approximately two hours to complete, while the full experience including extras extends to three hours. A completionist playthrough requires about four hours. Players can also win prizes in sharp-shooter challenge stages and compete on the online Hi-Scores table.
