Trials of Mana is a modern revival of the third entry in the seminal Mana series, originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 3. Square Enix published and developed this title for release on April 24, 2020. The game has been fully rebuilt from the ground up using 3D graphics instead of its original format. This single-player RPG offers a tale of overcoming the tests of fate with new life added to the experience. Players can enjoy graphic improvements alongside character voiceover support and a remastered soundtrack. A new episode is available after the main ending, along with an updated ability system and a new class that reconstructs the character leveling system. Battles are presented in a more active style compared to previous iterations. The story features interwoven destinies that change depending on which character you choose as your protagonist and companions. Young adventurers attempt to use the power of mana to save the world from destruction when it faces being shrouded in darkness. The main story takes approximately 21 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to around 27 hours.
