About
Valfaris is an action indie combat platformer published by Big Sugar and developed by Steel Mantis. The game was released on October 10, 2019, and offers a single-player experience set in a far corner of space. It serves as the next title from the team behind Unity Awards finalist Slain: Back From Hell. Players can expect brutal combat against deadly enemies within this heavy metal infused 2D action-platformer. The story follows Therion, a fearless and proud son of Valfaris, who returns to his home after it mysteriously vanished from galactic charts. The fortress has reappeared in the orbit of a dying sun and now hosts an ever-growing darkness instead of being a self-contained paradise. Therion seeks to uncover the truth of its doomed fate and challenge the arcane evil at its very heart. A recently updated feature called Full Metal Mode provides a take on New Game Plus for returning players. In this mode, you restart with your entire collected arsenal and upgrades to face off against more difficult enemies. You will also battle buffed bosses encounters and seek out the new Destroyer class weapon. The experience includes exploring a diverse range of tainted environments while wielding an array of brutal weaponry.
