About
Race The Sun - Deluxe Edition is a title developed and published by Flippfly LLC that arrived on July 27, 2015. This indie racing action game focuses on single-player gameplay where players control a solar-powered craft. The core loop involves hurting towards the sunset at high speed while managing a death timer represented by the setting sun. Players must catch energy boosts to temporarily reverse the sun and delay their inevitable end without crashing or slowing down. The experience draws inspiration from classic arcade games, emphasizing high scores and short game sessions for pure fun. The procedural world generates an infinite landscape that changes every day, ensuring varied racing environments. Completing objectives allows players to unlock upgrades and level up their ship across 25 levels. Customization options include attaching faster turning mechanisms and applying decals to the vessel. A built-in editor is included within the game to support player creativity. Visiting the developer page provides information on upcoming titles from Flippfly LLC. The rules remain simple throughout the experience: avoid collisions, maintain speed in the light, and never slow down.
