RAID: World War II is an action, RPG, and adventure title developed by Lion game Lion and published by Starbreeze Publishing AB. The game was released on September 26, 2017, and features both single-player and co-op modes for up to four players. Set in Europe during World War II, the narrative takes place when the Nazi war machine was still winning and hope was scarce. Four prisoners of war named Sterling, Rivet, Kurgan, and Wolfgang are freed by a secret British Intelligence Operative known as Mrs. White. These characters must work together to thwart the Nazi onslaught and take down Hitler and his Third Reich without rules or mercy. Their primary objective involves fighting through intense firefights while carrying away as much Nazi gold as possible. John Cleese voices Control, a British Intelligence Agent who ensures there are plenty of enemies to fight and loot to steal for the players. The main story takes approximately five hours to complete, while the full experience including extras can last around 34 hours. Players aiming for completion will find that finishing all content requires about 192 hours of gameplay. The game emphasizes teamwork and strategy throughout its sessions filled with adrenaline.
