About
Scars of Summer is an indie RPG and adventure title published by Kagura Games and developed by Shinachiku-castella. The game was released on April 9, 2021, and offers a single-player experience set in a contemporary Japanese countryside town. Players take on the role of Keita, who must find housing for the summer due to family circumstances. He is invited to stay at the home of his childhood friend, Ryoka Enomoto, who serves as an ace for her university women's basketball team. The core gameplay involves spending time with Ryoka while exploring the local area and meeting new people. A calendar system with a time limit structures the summer experience, allowing players to learn more about their friend over the course of the season. The main story length is listed as zero hours, though the completionist playtime totals sixteen hours including extras. This slice of life RPG focuses on daily interactions within the quiet setting without additional narrative duration specified for the primary plot.
