The story follows two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic. This magic is the only force capable of stopping the monstrous creations of The Fleshmancer, an evil alchemist. Players can increase damage output while reducing incoming damage by pressing the action button in sync with combat animations. Combat also features multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system that allows players to hinder enemies channeling powerful attacks or spells.
The game offers a modern take on classic RPG elements like turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration, and interactions with the environment. Players can swim, climb, vault, jump off, or hoist up ledges as they traverse the world.

It all leads to a smooth, consistently thrilling adventure with fun combat, all in a gorgeous and inviting world.
